Jonathan Mason, DDS, M.S., began his postgraduate education at The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Dentistry. While at OSU, leadership manifested itself in his role as class vice president from 2009 – 2011; and president from 2011 – 2012.
After graduating, he served as a commissioned officer at Fort Carson, an Army installation in Colorado Springs. At Fort Carson, he completed an intensive 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency. After receiving his certificate of residency, he served as Brigade Dentist for the Second Infantry Division at Camp Casey in Korea. Dr. Mason served as a Brigade Dentist from 2013 – 2015.
On relocating from Korea, Dr. Mason entered the endodontic residency program at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. He completed his residency in 2017 and earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology (MSOB) from Uniformed Services University . After graduation and residency completion, he became board-certified by the American Board of Endodontics.
Upon board certification, he became the endodontist in-charge and the clinical manager at the Fairbank Dental Clinic at Fort Hood, in Texas. After a year, he was promoted to Officer-In-Charge at the clinic. While serving in the Army, he worked for Endodontic Associates of Central Texas.
In 2020, he returned to his wife’s hometown of Colorado Springs to join Advanced Endodontics. Dr. Mason is devoted to developing exceptional endodontic care, knowledge and skills. He communicates with patients, and their dentists, to provide the best treatment possible in a kind and gentle manner.
In keeping with Advanced Endodontics’ commitment to clinical advancements, he excels in learning and using current technology and techniques. Like owner, Dr. Jack Mayhew, DMD, MS, Dr. Mason enjoys continued education, attends professional lectures and fosters collegial relationships. “My focus is advancing endodontics to the benefit, treatment and care of our patients.” said Dr. Mason.
His professional qualifications include Basic Life Support and Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Mason, from northeast Ohio, and his wife Chelsey, have been married for seven years. They have an energetic two-year-old boy. As a family, they enjoy traveling, eating delicious foods, and running.
